I’ve got a bit of a theory here but if I’m right, it means Shadow and Tim are actually cousins.
Think about it. Shadow seems to be the illegitimate daughter of Lord Mortis and Lady Moonlight. Lady Blackheart refers to Lady Moonlight as “little sister”. And it’s possible that their falling out and Lady Blackheart’s self-imposed exile was all over a man namely Lord Mortis.
Fast forward to today and Lady Blackheart / Tim’s mom is really pushing this union between her son and what appears to be her niece.
That is unless the term “sister” in this case is in reference to them being in the same guild and not meaning they share a bloodline. Or it could be that the denizens of Nox have no genetic issues which is a big reason why incest is frowned upon.
There appears to be a flaw in that theory, given that in #68 ( /?comic=68-second <–append that to the website name) Lord Mortis and Lady Moonlight appear to be getting introduced to each other for the first time. Therefore if Shadow is a daughter of Lord Mortis, some other Nox female would be Shadow's mother.
Plus, if Lady Moonlight is Shadow’s mom then why did she adopted her?
They aren’t cousins. 😉
