I hope all you Lady Blackheart theorists out there will not take to binge drinking to sooth the feelings of being wrong. It is going to be some sort of out of left field thing.
I’m pretty sure that any reveal either pro or con is going to be a long way into the future. This is not the kind of reveal you suddenly throw at people like that. Or if it does happen, it’s some sort of fake out.
Not necessarily, sometimes the best way to shock the audience is to have what is supposed to be an epic event be unceremoniously revealed.
A good example being when the identities of the Colossal and Armored Titans are revealed as a background conversation out the blue, while other characters are being the focus of the scene in Attack on Titan.
Yeah, totally different situations. What you’re saying was necessary to get the entire series started. Without the Colossal and Armored Titans, there literally would be no story unless you’re advocating for a tonal shift on par with whiplash when the nice story of two youngsters suddenly turns into a nightmare for everybody involved.
What we have here is world building. Revealing if Tim’s Mom is really Lady Blackheart so soon is trying to give too much at once. There’s good story telling, there’s necessary story telling and there’s sloppy story telling and the reveal at this point would be sloppy not to mention disappointing. There’s so much more waiting to be discovered with these characters without ruining it.
It’ll reveal exactly when I want it to. Perhaps the characters themselves might not know what’s going on, but the audience might get the first solid proof. We’ll just have to see!
One of the pics in the Fan Art gallery shows Ruth and Blackheart sitting at her dining table. That would qualify as a “left field” thing, the two females being different but knowing each other, and passing gossip. For me, however, that scenario would leave too many coincidences unexplained. Today at some point, most likely. I had to stop and help my Dad put down flooring yesterday, so it kind ate into my production time. Life stuff.
I noticed when I looked at the textless B&W version yesterday that you have drawn some VERY subtle facial expressions on Shadow. I have no idea what they mean* (thats’ been my problem for years) but I appreciate that they’re there.
* Facial expressions on a female? = Trouble ahead = depart rapidly – RUN!!!
Putting down flooring is SOooo much fun. I hope you left the expansion room at each wall. Ask me sometime why I think that is an important question 🙂
Because if you leave an expansion joint the ants and spiders have easier entry?!
There is that :-), but if you do not allow for movement in each direction, you will get these nice little ridges in your floor. Not very large, but you will see and feel them.
If the expansion space lets in both ants and spiders, the spiders will hang out there, eat the ants, and climb back into their hidey spots. Then everyone (who’s still alive) is happy. I don’t mind knowing the spiders are there, because I know they’re muching on the things that could damage the house.
Generally, spiders don’t bother with ants (they’re too small) and prefer the flying insects. However, the lizards (skinks & geckos) keep the ants under control while the larger ground-dwelling spiders cull the numbers of lizards.
It’s all part of the wonderful cycle of life where everybody is food for SOMEbody.
Just like we’re food for the aliens! Oh… I’ve said too much.
I wonder where Tim lives has ISKCON the founder of which died in 1977.
