Uhhhh… haha. This question again.
I don’t really remember the genesis of the original idea, the concept just sort of came together one day, I wrote it down, then it jangled around in my head for a while after that and eventually I started to work on the story, and I just made it up as I went along. Now we’re here.

I usually egg houses that do that crap on Halloween.

Trouble mastering her line.
The kids don’t get it when I request “Trick!” on Hallowe’en now. I get a blank stare.
When I was a kid, I had to be prepared with a riddle or joke, or a relatively harmless trick to perform for some houses.
Now I collect blank stares when I ask for the tricks before giving candy.
Note, I’m not actually that old either.
Yeah, in some other countries there’s similar holidays like Halloween, including exchanging gifts of going to other houses to perform something and if the owner of the house was entertained, s\he gives something as a prize. Doesn’t have to be edible though.
But now, kids and teenagers are going to people’s houses to just collect food, like somebody owes them.
And when you ask them to perform or give something of theirs in return, they look at you, like you’re asking for something unspeakable!
Don’t worry, she’ll have it down pat by door four and next year she’ll be better than Timmy!

She would get all the candy. She knows what she wants and she knows how to get it.
Would she still be disappointed by one piece of candy if it was one of those 5lb Hershey bars that I’m pretty sure they don’t make anymore?
Those and those huge chocolate tombstones. Seriously, I didnt know whether to eat it or pray to it.

Brandon you are a genius, I’ve been reading the comic from the first page to the latest, twice and I’ve figured something out about lady Blackheart.
1. She is NOT Ruth Newton, and evidence is in the comic.
2. I have a slight Idea of who she is in the human world, but I need to confirm my suspicions first.
I still need to gather some more information before I can come to any conclusions, and that information lays in the next few pages of this year and the next. I’m also gonna start a discussion forum on my site, there we can elaborate more on a number of subjects.
Oh?! Pray tell! This theory sounds interesting! *wiiiiiink*
Not yet, I’ll need the pages for the comic for the rest of the year and next year. Not unless you reveal it all before I get to figure it out.
Well, the mother of all secrets will be coming up somewhere towards the end of the chapter, so we’ll see. 😉
Out of curiosity Brandon, do you have a rough guesstimate on how many pages you expect chapter 3 to be, when it wraps up?
Somewhere in the 65ish pages range. Gotta wrap up Halloween, Terminus’s door situation, and maybe one or two teeny tiny little bits right at the very end setting everybody up for a fairly big time jump.
That brandon would put you in the range of about 11 more pages for the chapter, since we started off on 73. Does that sound about right?
Hmm. 10-ish pages to go, eh? That could put the close of Chapter 3 right around Halloween time. Quite fitting, given the context.

Honestly this whole comic should get a movie adaptation, just a bit less, R rated and it could be great to show to the kids in your spare time!
None of what Brandon has published is “R-rated” – PG at most.
There has been plenty enough nudity sprinkled through the work so far to garner an “R” rating in a film, just not a “Hard R”.
You must be in a very restrictive environment if mere nudity gets an “R” rating.
I’m also surprised at the notion of grades of rating, too. Do you have “Soft” G, “Medium” M as well, or is it only R that has grades?
Is a “Hard” R more or less similar to an X?

You have my sympathy.
I used the term R rated a bit loosely, but just a bit less nudity and then it’d be great to show to the kids, but he did say on the first page it was somewhere between pg 13 and R rated.
Meh, it’s confusing but still, you get my point.
It’ll be less confusing after Chapter 4, you’ll know exactly what it’s rated. 😉
