I’ve been wondering for a while whether Tim had any friends—well, acquaintances. Is this one of them, or is it somebody we’ve already met?
From what the mystery person said, and Tim’s response, we can pretty safely expect a bully. This could be a real challenge for Tim, depending on how he previously reacted to the presumed bully –because now someone he probably wants to impress (Shadow) is watching….
And she can smell fear…
She can smell more than that, and now I’m reminded of something in #42 ( /?comic=42-parents ), where she tells Tim that his dad smells like him. What about her encounters with Lady Blackheart and Tim’s mom? Do they smell the same? Brandon has indicated (comment a while back on another page) that he envisions them sounding differently (I assume that’s deliberate because they are different roles), but I never thought about their scents before. If Shadow has subconsciously noticed a similarity, that could explain her hesitancy/uncertainty about equating them in this comic.
Oh no a bully perhaps?
I would imagine, that as the Tale unfolds, so will we meet more of the M.U.B. Universe and it’s characters.
At a guess, if they know Tim, then we can but assume this lot obviously don’t get an invite home to meet Mom, or at least, aren’t high on the list.
Unless of course, it’s one of Shadows Clan slumming it.

… Really? Another of these pages that leaves the reader guessing? I mean really, Tim has a bully we’re about to meet, and then later Shadow scares the crap out of them. There is no mystery there. And what was the point of cutting to Terminus and Nightmare if there isn’t isnt going to be a payoff and we see what he wants? Great comic Jive Guro and you know I love you but these aren’t surprises to us and sometimes takes away from the story.

Please consider what you wrote from a slightly different perspective. Five months from now, if a new reader encounters this page, the next several pages will probably be available. Any suspense will be rather short-term. WE have it worse simply because we have to wait for those pages to get created. But if we chose, we could simply not visit this site for a few months, and then come back to bypass a lot of frustration. For me, I think I have enough patience and tolerance to not go mad over the wait between new pages. For you (and others), I cannot say anything other than, “It is your choice to visit this site each week (or even more often because of the comments).”

because we are on chapters 3 and I’m wondering on the amount of pages that there’s going to be?
Well we were told that their would be a 4th chapter. Not much else known past that

Oh my god, I know what Shadow was saying… I know what the secret is! Don’t worry Brandon, I won’t tell, I’ll let you reveal it properly when the time is right~
I get the feeling that most of us already know about the secret. So far, it’s just the characters of the comic that are left in the dark.
That’s the sad part. The CHARACTERS are the only ones that don’t know it yet. Unless of course Brandon pulls some crazy plot twist.
I dont think a genre savvy character would do well for the story. But hey, I’ve been wrong before.
Now, just to throw a twist into this, what if the bully turns out to be a girl?

Not really, Tenchi had other girls chasing him. Tim doesn’t. He has just met Midnight and is not interested in her. Other girls, I do not know.
Tim is afraid of human girls. Just go back a few pages to see Tim afraid of human-appearing Shadow –a fear he didn’t lose until Shadow proved she was actually the monster he doesn’t fear.
Well depending on which verse you look at, Tenchi didnt really want to have much to do with any of the girls either. It was mostly his life being turned upside down by all of them showing up (theres a pun to that effect built into the name of the show) and getting caught in the catfights and various agendas of the girls.
