Anybody else notice that Craig sorta looks like a lumberjack? Don’t know if that is referencing something or not but I just noticed it.

Now the saddest day in my life, got so into this comic I just read it all within two hours, but now I don’t even have my biggest theories answered as of yet 🙁

Out of curiosity Brandon, just how many pages have you been waiting for an opening like that?
I’m aware of one incident that could indicate that Tim’s mom is not Lady Blackheart. That was in #12 ( /?comic=12-parents ), and how Tim’s mom reacted to Tim’s presence while in a state of undress. But Nox folk don’t have a nudity taboo….
On the other hand, if she is Lady Blackheart, she would have been studying and living with humans for years, before that incident. And new habits can be formed during such stretches of time. So, we shall see, in due course.

I can think of a few possible counter arguments to this. For one, there may not be a nudity taboo among the sisters, but opposite genders may well be a different story. Its also not just some random male, its her child. Even if general nudity might be acceptable, he walked in on a moment of passion and kink. And even disregarding all that, If Ruth is Blackheart, she is still raising a human child in the human world, I think she would do so by human values.
Remember that Shadow had no problem running around with no underwear in the presence of Tim, a male. I’m pretty sure Brandon clearly indicated in a comment (quite a while back) that Nox folk wear robes and other clothing for decorative and/or protective reasons, not because of a nudity taboo.
True, but not really relevant to Ruth/Blackhearts response to their son bursting in on them. Even if Shadow was sexually aware at her age which I doubt, it was not in any way a sexual situation, and she had no way of knowing she was breaking a human taboo. The vice admiral getting ready to waltz the plank most certainly was, and all of my points still apply.

Aaaahhhhhh I just discovered this today and I’m addicted ive already caught all the way up to the July 2017 chapter and I need moooooore it’s so good. I also really enjoy that I share the same name as the main character.
Shadow can go full monster on Craig. After all, who would believe him if he said he was attacked by a monster?? She can stain his pants brown and there will be nothing he can do about it. Midnight may even pay him a not so nice visit just to make a point.
Something occurs to me. Most of us think she is going to drop her veil and rip him a new one. But when have we ever seen Shade to cause actual harm, let alone severe injury? Not saying she cant, just that it doesnt seem to be her style. Now one, that book is pretty thick for just one spell, and two, Sunny did say Shade was under her protection. Either one could have taught her some defensive magic, maybe something along the lines of a dazzle, stun or short term amnesia. So I’m thinking either Tim might be about to get a glimpse of the lady, or Shadow may show off another magic trick.
There are different sorts of “harm”. I’ve also commented about Shadow possibly casting a combat-related spell, such as one that increases her strength. She could then simply give the bully a thorough beating (perhaps the real humiliation of an over-the knees spanking), without actually drawing any blood.
Obviously, we will see what we see after Brandon draws it for us. 🙂
