Low blow Shade. True, but low.
Of course it creates an opening now for Tim to say no, he will never be normal while he is interacting with a monster from another dimension, and say he wants a chance at normal.
Normalcy is subjected and is categorized by people in a community who do similar things in a similar way.
However, life is stranger than fiction. So what IS normal?
Like you said, normal is something that most people in society expect and is pretty much a case by case type of thing. I guess Tim’s afraid of being judged for being different. And I’m sure a lot of people can sympathize. People can be so judgemental and intolerable of differences.
It would definitely help Tim to understand that he was never really normal in the first place. Although I don’t know what this revelation will do to Tim. This is pretty big news and he’s never been told this so this should be handled delicately or Tim might just freak out and Shadow and his family will have to pick up the pieces. Maybe it won’t be that serious, but I expect Tim to struggle with this a little at the very least.
Yeah and I’m worried Shadow’s going to drop that on Tim’s lap so hard it’ll break his legs. This is really something his parents should’ve talked with him about earlier. This might end up flooring Tim and make him say something to Shadow he’ll likely regret.
The secret was out way before this I wouldn’t be surprised if his parents knew from the beginning seeing how his mom is Ruth he’s half demon they probably placed bets on how long or what age he learn about the demon world
Take the Harkness test, ya dummy!
we’re Tim’s mom when you need her
btw theirs no such thing as normal it’s a lie created by society
No, it’s a standard. Not a lie. It’s an evolving societal standard that constantly changes.
normal is setting on the dryer
The only one here who’s normal is Jack-Jack, and he’s not even toilet trained!”
Violet Parr Incredibles, Pixar, 2004
What is this now? It’s an update on schedule!
Yes, the past 3 weeks have been on schedule! AMAZING!
DONT JINX IT!
Keep up the work my lord and savior Jezus
No, it’s actually Brandon who’s doing the work.
Normal does not exist Timmy boy.
And if it did it sounds rather boring.

Wait, hanging out with the monsters under my bed isn’t normal? I thought everyone does this?
Somewhere in the house, Tim’s parent’s are like “Do they seriously still think we can’t hear this?”
If they can hear this, it’s time to introduce Tim to Ruthless. Meant to reply to this one.
You can’t tell me that no one is hearing this argument.

Well, if Tim’s parents did not barge in over the sound of them fucking, they would keep ignoring them over this spat.
??????????????????????????!
That hasn’t happened yet… this is still a flashback.
That’s fast forward another year in the comic.
:FACE:!! :PALM:!!!!!!
*slaps Tim upside the head* She LOVES YOU, you moron! Screw ‘normal’! Normal is highly overrated.
See this would be a perfect way to have Mom show up.

Seriously, finding out you are a halfbreed with a species from another world, thats BSOD territory.

I wish I could give a high five over the internet right now.
I’m betting their secret is out, depending on how far their voices carry.
The secret was out way before this I wouldn’t be surprised if his parents knew from the beginning seeing how his mom is Ruth he’s half demon they probably placed bets on how long or what age he learn about the demon world
But now that extends to the neighbors.
