But the prolog in the beginning of the story shows he doesn’t care about helping her be more scary or am I wrong
It shows he cares more about her ability to truly scare him, and thus be good at what she does, as opposed to lying to her that she is scary when she really wasn’t.
The beginning is only one instance of their life much further down the road. Along the way she’s going to learn a lot from Tim (who isn’t scared of her) that can help her get better results out of more regular unsuspecting folks.
Of course, she’s always looking forward to the day she really can legitimately scare Tim for real, but what does it take?
She could always use the time-honored method of scaring men: a positive pregnancy test.
I don’t think monsters have those, or even know what they are for that matter!

As for the leg/body proportions, they get a pass from me in this instance.

Well, it doesn’t match exactly, but in the darkness it might as well.
It’s actually supposed to be somewhat sheer if you catch it in the right light, which comes more into play when she is a grown woman, of course.
Also once I stop drawing her bunched up in that cloak all the time. She does start making herself at home once this thing get rolling a little bit more.
