Glow is probably reffeering to Moonlight, since she, well, glows, and has been seen talking to Blackheart.
Brandon has confirmed that Moonlight’s glowing aura is a minor magical effect she uses to look more impressive. Since Shadow is pretty much Moonlight’s adopted daughter, Ruth might be thinking that she wants to do something similar.
Wouldnt see it working well with her complexion.
Then again, isnt this also the era of those blacklight responsive fuzzy posters? That could be interesting…
Yes, she is referring to her sisters penchant for glowing. Since Shadow has been under her care she hopes that silly gimmick hasn’t rubbed off on her. XD

Tim and his dad do have the ability to attract and catch Noxians. Hmmmm . . . . . . wonder if Tim’s dad has some Noxian blood? A tinge only, that is. From two or three centuries ago.
I called it from the first few pages, about a year ago or so.
if you’re talking about how tim’s mom is lady Blackheart a lot of us did I literally made an entire theory around it including character text color and the mole on her face

Yes. Because after people get married, sometimes the in laws will say “just call me mom/dad/etc.”
I’ve talked to a lot of people and paid attention to far more. But I don’t think I’ve heard anybody call somebody else to their face ‘Mom-in-law’.
I will admit that I have people use the terms Mom-in-law, Dad-in-law, Sis-in-law, and Bro-in-law when talking about people who were not present. But as far as I can recall, none of these people seemed the need to remind their in-laws that they were in-laws.

Awesome for the story (and us) can mean awful for the characters, so I’m not yet convinced Tim is safe.
Hopefully it’ll be enertaining for us, as much of a shock as it is for him.

Ruth is like that senior to a fandom/fetish, and is very enthusiastic to guide a prospective junior that matched their wavelength. Shadow is going down the same path as her, and of all coincidences, with her son.
I wouldn’t be surprised that after all these years, she’s been enjoying playing the role of matchmaker from behind the scenes.
I had always assumed that Tim took after his father and had no visible noxian traits from his mother. On the other hand it occurs to me that maybe mom maintains a spell on him that has shapeshifted him to a human form. I know it is unlikely and the spell used on Shadow to look human broke when she was upset but with Tim as half human the spell might not break under pressure . I can see it now , his mother stands him front of a mirror on his 21st birthday ” Tim I have a surprise for you … this is what you really look like !!…” . I am pretty sure it won’t go down like that but its fun to imagine the possibility …heh

In the middle of the night is the best time for Noxians to show off their true appearance. Any human peeping Toms looking at them might get a heart attack.

When Brandon decides Tim’s gonna learn about his true self:
Tim comes home –> His parents are just casually doing casual stuff, except his mother is in her true noxian form –> Tim freakes out –> His parents still acting casual as if nothing’s wrong –> Tim nearly stroke out from processing what’s going on –> Shadow casually walks in as if nothing’s wrong –> Tim doesn’t want to accept the truth and hides in his room for a few min –> They manage to calm Tim –> Tim accepts the truth.
