Some aspects of this story reminds me of an animated film I saw called ‘The Wolf Children’. Loving parent doing their very best to give their unique child a happy life. Mom in that story didnt have magic to fall back on though. It was a cute film.
Sad ending. I’ve seen it.
If only that movie had a sequel.

Depends on how canon the stories are. There was a change of substance as early as comic 24, so nothing in them is guaranteed.
But with the level of detail and amount of work he is putting into the web comic version, there is enough material to last another 20 years, if not longer.
As far as “canon” goes, Brandon published them so they’re automatically canon.
If he modifies one and it’s published then the new version becomes canon.
I don’t consider the original stories to be canon to the comic. They are more like a prototype, than anything else at this point. Merely an earlier draft of this idea.
Although a lot of the ideas in there are still relevant to the comic, until they have been re-introduced into this current narrative, they are in a state of flux and are subject to changes… and there will certainly be some big changes coming soon enough. π

Well, crap. I found this yesterday through reddit and already got to the dreaded last page starting from the beginning… It’s crazy how long you’ve been doing this for, all I can say is… keep it up! You provided entertainment for a few days, and that only took a few years to achieve…!

Just wanted to say I appreciate the straightforwardness of the “Updates Most Sundays” subheading. It encourages people to check back weekly without making us wonder at every skipped Sunday if a long hiatus is beginning.
Yeah, there’s no long hiatus planned. Sometimes I just need extra time on a page, or a break that week. It really helps solidify the idea that this is a hobby, and not a full-time job.
not saying this will improve “most sundays” ,, but checking back (voting) every day,, some times gets you a odd filler page.. and it improves his numbers which means more views, an possibly more subscribers… then maybe, more updates..
it’s a plan (hope) i stick to,, that if he gets enough subscribers, that he can retire an just do comic… (Hay I can dream..)
For that to happen “subscribers” need to be “paying subscribers”. Brandon already has a Patreon page but still has to hold down another paying job.

Brandon, you told us that for a certain amount of time, due to personal reasons, there is of high probability that you can only update every other Sunday. Is it still true and does it involve there will be not update today?
That was *last* update that Brandon told us that. I’m pretty sure it means there’s probably not going to be an update today.

If I’m not mistaking you said you would update every other week. I’m not in no hurry to see one every week. The wait is worth it and you don’t stain anything in the art of drawing it. You have a life just like the rest of us do.
I confess, now I want to know how Tim’s parents got together. Maybe something like it was Halloween, he was out trick or treating, she was being adventurous and walking the human streets as a Noxian, they met, he realized she wasn’t in costume, he was fascinated by her, etc.
