Hmm, Tim’s surprised concern seems to have thrown Marcy off her stride for the moment, though I doubt it will deter her for long. I don’t see any obvious way for Tim to convince her that it wasn’t him, he can’t exactly tell her “my monster not-girlfriend from another dimension probably got jealous, stole my scissors and portaled into your room”.
It just occured to me she used the word “something” not “someone” so maybe she doesn’t suspect Tim did the act but is thought suspicious because it was his scissors? Next page will resolve that though.
Yeah I was wondering about that. And about Marcy in the first panel. Brandon’s very good with these kinds of details (like the back to the future poster), so there’s probably a good reason behind these choices.
That struck me as odd. Perhaps something in her subconscious mind is telling her that it wasn’t Tim in her room. Did she catch a glimpse of Shadow and Midnight while half asleep?
I doubt that Marcy was concerned with the degree of courtesy to show to the (unknown) owner of a non-human tail glimpsed while partially awake in the dark of her own bedroom. I suspect she was distracted by catching sight of the scissors (which DIDN’T swiftly vanish under the bed.)
Tim suspects, but I think he wants to know exactly what happened from Shadow’s mouth first. (He might get better luck from Midnight, but he has no reason yet to believe she was in on it.)
Of course, I suspect next page he’ll say “there’s this other girl….” and somewhere along the line the word “stalker” will slip out. After which, of course, hilarity ensues.
And of course, there’s Terminus looming to make his move today, too.
And a question for Brandon: is Marcy a possible sorceress?
Does Tim even have any contact with Midnight at this point? I can’t recall for certain, but I think she is just someone Tim knows as being one of Shadow’s friends or possibly Shadow’s roommate. It’s possible that she was a visitor once or twice. (I recall seeing her in Tim’s room with Shadow, but I don’t recall if he was awake for it. That said, I’m not going to archive binge right now to try to determine if my recollection was of reality or just a dream or something.) But she’s not someone he can have confidence he will see in the near future.
Marcy must have suspected Tim wasn’t at fault. As already mentioned, she said “someTHING” not “someONE” and her expression at Tim’s telling concern says she’s ready to believe that, despite the evidence, he is not at fault here. Next update might shine a light.
PS Congratulations, Brandon, on your 200th release.
Tim what ever you do just smile and wave then maybe she’ll go away if that dosent work RUN LIKE HELL
Congrats on 200, Brandon!

Also, that not-girfriend part would be totally lie.

Shadow’s tail was visible as Marcy woke.
Still, isn’t it rude calling Shadow “it” just because she’s not human?

SPENCER! You good for nothing clone. Get back here! Oh, heeeeeeey Marcy…
With friends like that, who needs enemies?
He’s going to have a hard time explaining to her that he’s got nothing to do with this.
PAGE 200 BOYS!
Oh dear, this is going downhill fast…
Also, looks like Marcy was about to go super saiyan or something in the top left panel.

Midnight has barely any contact with Tim, they aren’t really friends. She is the only other monster he’s seen though, that he’s aware of!
You mean for now, at least.
That’s why i’m eager to know someday, how Tim transformed from “Dogface” into “Timothy” in Midnight’s eyes.
The transformation begins… soon.
when will the next page be out? im hooked!
Yes Yes… more penetration… of the story … {you pervs!} 🙂
*confused* Why did you choose penetration to convey your point?
And you call us the perverts…
Some people just want to see the world burn.
Or at least see the worlds bum.
B u r n.
Is he gonna change the subject now?
I don’t think he can do it.

Congrats on the first 200. We will love to see more 🙂
That might have been the perfect reaction Tim. Good job.

Congratulations on your two hundredth. May you last for two hundred more.
