oups bad timing for Tim and especially bad people with him… I do not think these two people are real friends for Tim. They are more nuisance than anything else to me.
Second point, why did Tim’s parents wait that much until telling him the truth about his mother? A kind of protection but considering he knows Shadow for years and considering their parents know about Shadow and Nox as well, I think they have waited far too much time.
Heck, Ruth doesn’t even WANT to tell him… but it is important.
Well. Yes she doesn’t want but considering Shadow it should have been far easier if the parents would have thought about clearing the shadows between Ruth’s real nature…
Marcy really likes him but he doesn’t feel he has much choice as he doesn’t want to be arrested.

There’s no regular schedule of Shadow’s visits and, as far as he knows, he broke her heart last visit.

But seriously, their friendship is made of sterner stuff than you seem to think!
I already saw that friendship and it is not what I thought but it seems that they are each other, when tim told her that it was wonderful there she saw something of him, then when he told her that it was rare there she saw it tim is not a friend but something that she was missing and decided to open her heart to him but he knows that the two of them cannot be together no matter how much they could but something that I know is that for love there is nothing that stands in his way, I have the A feeling that even though they fought, she feels that something that she has been waiting for since they met.
postscript: so I see Tim and Shadow as a couple that will soon break the barriers of the impossible and aside something curious about today is that I don’t even know if this is a coincidence or something planned but in theory today is the birthday of someone important like that I’ll put it on the list of references.

Well, seriously, as Shadow was the offended party, Tim caused her emotional distress when he declined her offer to take the relationship to the next level. (She was half-stripped and ready on Page 169)
It’s her decision whether or not to resume the relationship with Tim.
My earlier comment was about MY reaction is similar circumstances and isn’t an accurate predicition of Shadow’s (who is totally and completely under YOUR control, as the author.)
But it doesn’t sit accurately for me….

This present time is one year behind Chapter 1, and if you reread that chapter, you’ll see they rekindled their relationship, buried all differences, and went on to something… spectacular.
(Heh… I could even say that Tim wound up burying himself in Shadow… repeatedly… 😛 )
I take it that she’s going to pull the same did when Midnight interrupted her chat with Shadow.
