Considering Shadow went with TIMS scissors, its kind of debatable. I think if Tim was a girl and the Shadow was her boyfriend and Shadow had gone visiting potential love interest of Tim with scissors in same way, the audience would be very much on Tims side, that Shadow deserved it for threatening behavoir.
I felt that way the moment she stole those scissors.

This seems…..waaaaaay out of character for Tim.

This is a volatile situaion where the slightest misunderstanding or wrong word or even facial expression can lead to a BAD result (and I men body parts stuck to walls above eye level)
Tim has broken the secret of Shadow’s existance, he has forfeited her trust..
Shadow already has bad vibes with Craig the Bully. She’s already threatened him.
Shadow has antipathy towards Marcy the Boyfiend Thief, whose hair she was going to chop off for intruding.
The only way out I can see is if Lady Blackheart {Ruth} makes a sudden appearance to intervene, stuns Craig and Marcy into permanent silence and sentences Tim to drop out of school, at least a year confinement to his room except for meals while she negotiates with Tom to sell the photography business (it’s old technology anyway) and move the family to New Zealand.
The “secret” is not a big deal here.
Craig already knew, the hard way.
Marcy knew from him, and was asking for finding out personally… the hard way.
This only needs to be prevented from escalation in any direction. “Peace talks” is the most obvious approach. Tim is just slightly hare-brained about it.
I disagree in that the secrecy of the realm of Nox is still a big deal to Shadow and the elders of Nox.
When the elders learn that their existence is no longer secret, their only culprit to be blamed is Shadow (you don’t think that Terminus will voluntarily admit his own “interactions” with Ahna, do you?)

Now that he’s ONE of the elders, by killing, he’s going to be one of the “jury” determining any punishment aied at Shadow and it’s not in his nature to be lenient.
I foresee that Shadow’s only hope to escape Noxian punishment is for Lady Blackheart (Ruth) to intervene, firstly here in Tim’s bedroom by persuading or threatening Marcy and Craig into silence and secondly , by using her influence with her sister, High Mother Moonlight, either to quash any investigation of Shadow or to finagle a lighter sentence for her.
Moving permanently to New Zealand is probably the best option for the family anyway.
It removes them from the poisonous NorthAm environment and keeps open their access to Nox. (New Zealanders use beds and closets – really they do.)
We don’t know enough about the portal system, New Zealand might be right around the corner.
It would at least remove the family from Marcy and/or Craig who are the humans most likely to blab the existence of the realm of Nox.
With no Newton family available to be interrogated (either by “the authorities” or local media) then the tales of ‘monsters under the bed’ is less likely to gain credible publicity.
We know Tim is loyal to Shadow. Whatever is going on, he will be on Shadow’s side.
Also though Tim doesn’t know about his mother, she does know the situation.
not a good page in my opinion. I am sad for Shadow… Honestly after Terminus and his proposal, Tim and the others who just will try to kidnap her.

it should be otherswise them in a relationship afterwards doesn’t make sense storywise
still happy the story keeps adding up the lore and drama 😀
