Maybe because their physiology is emphasising strength & agility over emotional and intellectual growth.

It amuses me that Marcy has just met, confirmed, a member of a nonhuman sapient species neither of them had any clue existed. One that has proven her ability to effectively teleport into Marcy’s home at will, while she’s sleeping and vulnerable, and who has shown hostility to her already. Marcy has just met someone who, for all she knows, is a demon from Hell and a clear and present paradigm shift in the entire course of human thinking, a definitive answer to the question “are we alone in the universe?”
…and her reaction is “are you and my boi a thing?! Well fine…guess that’s that, I’m done here”.
Perfect. High school life in a nutshell – absolutely NOTHING matters except who’s dating who.

Typical teen attitude, not jusy north American but universal. There’s no interes in anything outside their personal sphere – how to get laid, where’s the next booze hit, what’s the new “kick” (to be very ’60s) but naional. intrnational, interstellar or interdimensional news or event…… naaaahh!
I disagree. Marcy has shown surprising understanding so far. She sees Tim is at least good friends with Shadow from pictures, she guesses Shadow got very jealous of Marcy and understands why. So she gets Shadow to confess her love of Tim, then leaves so Tim and Shadow can sort out their relationship, which will then sort out whether Marcy can go after Tim.
She isn’t the sort to murder Shadow who seems to be ok person from Tim’s descriptions, and would be foolish to do too much to shadow who can sneak in her bedroom as you note for revenge if offended. Seems like sensible reaction so far that a smart adult may also do.
Marcy made Shadow display jealousy right next to Craig. From which it’s immediately obvious that she tried to add Tim to her stable of backup boyfriends. Either she plays games that involve making Craig jealous on purpose, or this was not thought out at all.

Hopefully Marcy and Shadow can somehow make up and be friends, interesting though the fact that things keep playing through your head, maybe marcy could be a monster like shadow, only time will tell, great comics and story as always Brandon, am looking forward to the next and maybe even a xmas edition with different characters.

Some see high school drama. I see allies being made for a future conflict.
True to the trope the girl (Marcy) sees this is a serious thing even if Tim is clueless, recognizing she has no shot, and respecting that line. And if she can respect the relationship, she can later hear its in danger, grab Craig by the ear and say “we are going to help them”.
This *is* a possibiliy. remote but possible.
I don’t like the way Craig said “I’m not.” What is he going to do!?

I think Craig is all about payback. Shadow scared him so badly he soiled his tighty whiteys. He’s not going to forgive her for that.
If the reason for sudden curiosity from Marcy (or noticing Tim at all) was that Craig babbled about it, he’s going to receive partial blame for this incident, too. And it looks this way.
Craig says it in response, immediately after Marcy tries to tow him of the room, so the most obvious possibility (though not the only one, of course) is that she tried to pull a fast one, and he stepped on it.
I think Craig is about to do a stupid.
