Tim’s folks have the wrong idea of what’s actually going on

If Midnight had ANY affection towards Tim or towards dudes in general, then maybe this would be a fun thought.
Midnight, none of this is either Tim or Shadow’s fault. Maybe calm the fuck down and start throwing hands at everyone else…

LoL! No, she probably doesn’t read the comments. You forgot Midnight also has a thing for Shadow, unrequited love. She’s disliked Tim for a long time because he “took Shadow away”. She’s only played nice because of her friendship and crush on Shadow. She knew if push came to shove Shadow would probably choose Tim if forced to make a choice. Hopefully this is her way of making a point to get Tim to rush off to help rescue Shadow and not a real desire to end him.

Middy’s action from the beginning of this encounter are not, and cannot be, any sort of attempt to persuade Tim to take any action.
Tim isn’t even aware of Shadow’s predicament at the moment and Midnight immediately threatens and attacks him for (from Tim’s POV) no reason at all, except probably that Middy doesn’t like him and hasn’t done for a long while.
A far more rational approach (not emotional) would have been Information first – “Shadow’s in gaol” THEN persuasion and THEN if that doesn’t work, emotional blackmail.
But Middy’s in full emotional meltdown and is not thinking logically or rationally hence she launches a life-threatening assault with deadly personal weapons, those sharp, sharp teeth and claws.
Frankly it’s a justifiable case for police action (Australian, Canadian let alone trigger-happy uSAnian) to taser or shoot her.
Ruth and Tom will have to intervene but will they before Tim’s blood is spilled?
If they don’t, my opinion of them will lessen a bit. Ruth and Tom are clearly listening in and understand the situation Tim is in right now.
They’re listening n, but Panel 2 clearly shows thery have NO IDEA what’s going on. They have misconceptions based on their own experiences.
Yeah you’re right. It’s more like they think Shadow and Tim are in there playing around.
Well I don’t much care for the Midnight as a character. I touched on my thoughts about her in an earlier page. Still, I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt but you are probably right. She’s full emotional mode and not doing herself or Shadow any favors with her actions. I’m thinking this might be where Tim gets that scar on his back, but maybe not. Hopefully he’s quick enough to pick up on Midnight’s mood and what she just said, put 2 and 2 together and realize this is a serious situation. Midnight really needs to get over it and realize she’s never going to replace Tim even if she did kill him. The walls are thin in that house and I don’t think she’s being “quiet” when she speaks if the exclamation marks are any indicators. Hopefully Tim’s parents catch enough of the conversation to intervene.

No one here is in the same page; will Tim’s mom go to nox?; also how will Tim react if he finds out they were there the whole time?
If she expected Tim to be there to protect Shadow at all times, then she’s a bigger fool then she thinks Tim is. And yeah I figured Tim’s parents would be no help here.
Without the fear and surprise factor, can Mid actually take him in a straight fight? Not that he’d be fighting to kill of course, but I’m thinking if Mid doesn’t cool her head a bit, he could at least pin or lock her long enough to get the story without Ruth having to go lion mode.
Don’t forget the sharp teeth and claws, plus a prehensile tail for good measure. Hardly a fair fight.
Prehensile tails that are quite sensitive if I remember correctly. That may be more of a liability than asset. Teeth and claws are the real danger but she has to get close to bite and have her arms free to scratch. If Tim is physically stronger it might not be so bad.
Perhaps, although I imagine the tail could be quite effective if tightened around someone’s neck, even for a short while.
Midnight just tell him what happened and then he’s gonna go mountain rescue

I like the way you think.. I’ve been commenting on the sexual tension even before this page. She was interested in what his D was like.
So thinking either he’s going to ask what bad thing happened then attempt to go rescue shasow or theirs going to be a brawl and mid fight midnight spills the tea
Even attempt is not possible without an aegis. And actual «go rescue» would not be practically possible even with the sort of disguise Shadow used.
A little crash and bang can be misinterpreted, but when the screaming and shouts begin because of sharp teeth bites and claw scratching, that’s pretty hard to put down to happy love times.
They think it’s Shadow and Tim in there and that’s why they think it’s just them having naughty fun times when it’s more like scary pain times.
Frankly, sad for both Tim, Shadow and Mid…
