Hard to tell but it looks like there is a dress there that matches her skin color, and the red parts are just over the dress.
If you pay attention to the colour highlights of her skin vs her dress, you can see they are different colours.

Ahh, but would you actually like it if I wrote it as an accurate 9 year old? There’s a good reason kids in movies/TV often have dialogue that sounds more mature.
True, it is a comic made for adults, if they did act like kids it would be less fun D . And in the end the “we meet when we were little” setting mostly helps with the innocence of the characters and their open mindedness.
I wonder if tim is going to visit the underworld (underthebedworld?) later on.
