I like the “ghostly” aura around Mother. Actually, that and the fact she is really pure white, is she actually a ghost ? Or a projection of some sort sort ? The next weeks better come fast !
She doesn’t actually glow, I was just trying to set up her other-worldly, ethereal nature during her initial appearance.

Not me, I had Shadow, with her interest in human culture, figured for the odd outsider amongst the group. Part of the reason that Midnight is so threatening to Tim is that she see’s Shadow as needing protection.
She’s assertive, but Midnight is MORE assertive!
Yeah, I get that, it’s just that she looks like she’s about to cringe in the first panel. Like Darwinskeeper said, I can see Shadow being the odd one out due to her interest in humans and targeted because of it, but she doesn’t seem the type to back down in the face of bullying.

My take on it; The demonstrated wiggling is a warning of an imminent paddlin’ if they keep annoying mom.

I wonder who Orangey and Bluey are? But this is starting to remind me of the dazzlings. One is Blaze and the other Dusk? Had to finally look up the orginal story when Nightmare’s preview showed up on Facebook.

Currently they have no permanent names being just incidental characters, however, with that said I’ve been calling the blue one ‘Gloom’ and the orange one ‘Sunset’. Of course, these are subject to change until I actually make them canon.
I think Sunset is perfect for orangey. During that hour when the Sun is going down, I call that “the golden hour”. I immediately thought it was a good fit.
If Dusk is not officially taken by one of the bathing girls, then I say give it bluey. You then get the perfect pair names.
Just like Crescent and Gibbous would make a perfect sister/brother pair names.

Seeing as how i’m familiar with the original “script”, I’ll just say theres one character we have now seen in the comic that I can’t wait to see “in action”. And don’t worry, I wont spoil anything by saying who and what. Or will I? We’ll just cross that bridge when we come to it 😛
