I think she’s simply sitting on the ground in one of the hallways in Nox. Probably too upset to travel the distance to her room, and collapsed on the way there.
It is a comparison, referencing that both feel the same. the two sides of the coin, the conflict, the sadness and the confusion (he does not realize what she feels and she does not notice that he does not know)
