Going by his eyes, I think Tim just realized that he really likes the look of girl-shaped objects.
He’s not looking that low, he might just be looking at her teeth. I wouldn’t be surprised if the teeth still freak him out a little, I mean look at that smirk!
First her best cloak, now her hottest dress (which in about 8 years will be scandalous, but in a good way :P). Which all culminates in Tim’s look in the last panel of male recognition of the the fact that “I’m doomed.”
Oh man, I didn’t notice her skirt before! She really is wearing all her fancy stuff for Tim, isn’t she?
Nice, but not really that scandalous, unless you miss the (her) skin colored midsection—in the last panel you can see even the bottom isn’t exposing that much.
I beg to differ. The skirt is showing leg all the way to the crease on the inside of the hip, and we already know that Shadow, like all “monsters”, doesn’t wear underwear. One wrong (right?) move and we’d have a Basic Instinct moment. I also believe that it’s a two part outfit (backless halter top and skirt) and I just hope that there’s a string running around her back to hold the top in place, for Tim’s sake. 🙂
She is wearing a little black dress, with her red cape pinned around her waist. XD There’s no skin-coloured mid-section to be seen…. just a very short skirt, but she is a good girl who keeps her legs closed, of course. ;-P
Ah, the dreaded LBD. 😛 I guess that I’m as guilty as the next party of seeing what we want to see, but it would be a hell of an outfit. I did notice the cloak clasp, but put it down to a different accessory with a matching design. So, what is that around her neck, then?
I guess it’s like one of those frilly Victorian era neck things… but with a bat motif instead.
so she indeed have a weird hobby involving humans, and a big curiosity too probably, so its kinda off a nice trade?
but that “and i will teach you conquer your fear…” gave me a little chill, the weirdest chill i ever had as that was somewhat sexy too XDD
Especially since his fear is girls. I wonder what exactly the curriculum will be?
Well, the official way of conquering fear is gradual exposure to the fear stimulus.
lets hope that midnight dont make him fear even more girls till he finds his cure XD
well later we see that Tim and shadow learn more about each other and Tim’s parents finally see shadow Tim officially says that shadow is his girlfriend we also meet shadow’s mother who looks almost like her daughter expect she is older and shadow finally learns about underwear but her idea of undergarments are made from ribbons tied together underneath her clothes like a bondage harness. we even see a beach scene where shadow wears 3 adhesive bandages two small ones and one big one.

Heh, I used to read a comic whose artist would deal with fan theories by confirming them all, including the contradictory ones.
It’s a very good idea. I do like to see where people think the story is going though, so I encourage them. XD
You encourage to speculate? Ok. I think that in the future, Shadow will share with Midnight. And before you say this isn’t going to happen, the more you say ‘no’ the more I hear ‘yes’!

Yowza… A repeat of this a couple years down the road would definitely lead to interesting things… Tim is most certainly under her thumb/claw now.
On a more technical aspect perhaps this is suitable for a callback when things start getting all oinga boinga with these two.
And to concur with the sentiment expressed by the other posters, seeing a more mature Shadow pulling this off would be quite a treat. 😛

I’m guessing that, whether she admits it or not, Midnight prompted her to ask the question. Unless that’s what she was referring to when she said that she wanted something else from him.

Omg what is she wearing? I think my pants are shrinking. Just look at Tims face in Panel 1! Is that nervousness? Can she sent that? Does she know what she’s doing to him in the last panel? And look at her eyebrow raise in the last panel! Will these questions be answered?! When she stands up, it’s going to be glorious, just like page 37… WHY DO YOU TEASE US (or just me) with pages like this Mr Brandon! Brb, need to go to the bathroom for 5 min.
I wonder if her kind are able to pinpoint a person’s fear and that she knows what he’s afraid of already?

Hey, Brandon. Pink here, again with another question(s). It’s a bit obvious that shade is presenting here, to at least some degree. My question is; what’s the reasoning for it? Are you just drawing her in new outfits, expanding her wardrobe, or is she presenting for Tim?(who’s eyes seem to wander southwards a bit in the last panel) Are either of them attracted to the other at any point this early on, or is that gonna take a while to develop?
She honestly just dresses that way. They all do. I mean, Midnight doesn’t even wear a shirt under her cloak, she’s only got the yellow neck scarf thing. XD It only gets more revealing when they are older. XD
I’m not at liberty to discuss if there is attraction yet. People see what they want. XD
It just seems to me that her cloak was a lot more fitted tonight than when originally shown, that’s why I asked. Thanks again for the info
